History of the Baby Carrier : Throughout time, parents have been using baby carriers to transport their babies and keep their babies close to their hearts. In 1969, Ann Moore, a pediatric nurse, designed and patented the first modern form of the baby carrier, called the Snugli. Moore based her primitive baby carrier design on her experiences with the mothers in Togo, Africa.
